Tyrannoteuthis phobocoeus — intelligent leviathan-class cephalopod. Persistent hunter across the open Sparse Plains and Metal Farms. Hug terrain; never cross the open in a straight line.
Shiver Leviathan
Skythopterygion atropos — scythe-finned fate-ender. Patrols the Void. Treat the map edge as a hard wall — turn back immediately.
Great Jaw
Megamya sudacna — giant ambush mollusc embedded in the Spires. Lithium can be found inside its shell, but approach carefully.
Twin Sitaray
Sitaroid gemini — sitar-like twins. Paired predator across the Karakorum region.
Bloom Parasite
Teuthis vrykolakas — vrykolakas squid. Spawns around uncured Bloom infections. Cure Blooms with the Sonic/Feedback Resonator to clear them.
Bullethead
Panopliateuthis velos — armoured squid dart. Fast cave predator.
Electric Geordie
Salpapod geordiwangi — electric variant of the Geordie. Shock attacks; avoid metal vehicles in close.
Epicurean
Postpanoplia epicurean — formerly-armoured epicurean.
Hammerhead
Panoplia hammerhead — fully-armoured hammerhead. Defensive: it won't pursue unless threatened. Wiki currently lists it as Defensive (post-hotfix behaviour).
Houndgar
Teuthis courser — hunting-dog squid. Packs hunt in the Graveyard wreckfields.
Marrowbreach
Mango marrowbreach. Found near surface — a real threat to early-game divers.
Needler Mango
Mango kelos — dart-throwing shark. Ranged attacker; nest biome is named after it.
Bloom Canker
Viroblast gaggraina — hardened biomolecules. Destroy with the Feedback Resonator.
Foureye
Morokotoform duplex. Will defend itself if cornered.
Mimic Pylon
Pyloraptor mimic — disguises itself as a coral pylon. Don't scan the pretty one.
Nibbler Mango
Mango tructa — small shark, harasses divers in the Coral Gardens.
Sandspear
Burrowing ambusher in sandy floors. Watch for movement in the substrate.
Surge Jelly
Staurobrachia capacitor — electrical defensive jelly.
Acid Raion
Raion carbonica — sessile raion. Harvest Acidic Raion Pouches for Mild Acid and batteries.
BFJ
Dactylbrachia gigas — Big Friendly Jelly. Huge but harmless.

Rotsac cherimoya — harvestable rotsac.
Coral Crab
Ostrakonskelos anaktoraphore — hard-legged palace-bearer.
Deepwing Brooder
Titanotagmataptera amalthea — segment-winged nurturing giant. Migratory, harmless. Useful as a navigational landmark.

Seaslug kleptopharos — the 'stolen-beacon slug'. Defensive flash blinds attackers.
Halfmoon
Moliform luna — mola-shaped moonfish. Edible food source.

Ostrakonskelos periskopion — hard-legged periscope.
Titan Rockbore
Lithodont titanicae — giant sessile stone-tooth. Found everywhere as a landmark/structure.
Tongue Thief
Ostrakonskelos glossaklept — steals fish tongues, harmless to divers.
Waxmoon
Moliform semiluna. Food source.
